Several Nelson Elite Teams finish strong in their KSSL divisions.
Several Nelson Elite teams competed in the Kentucky select soccer league and either finish first or second in their respective divisions as shown below: Note: U-10 and below do not keep standings.- U-11 Boys Strikers were 2nd place finishers in the U-11 Boys Fourth Division with a record of 6-2-2
- U-12 Girls Lasers were 1st place finishers in the U-12 Girls Silver Division with a record of 8-0-1
- U-14 Boys were 2nd place finishers in the U-14 Boys Premier Division with a record of 4-1-2
- U-14 Girls Explosion were 2nd place finisher in the U-14 Girls Gold Division South with a record of 4-2-2
Nelson Elite Teams Have Success in United Cup
Several Nelson Elite teams competed in the United Cup held the weekend of September 13 and 14. The five Nelson Elite teams finished with an overall record of 10 wins, 1 lose and 1 tie. Nelson Elite Girls win Winchester Classic
The Nelson Elite U-10 girls Asteria had success in the Winchester Classic held the weekend of September 20 and 21. The Asteria were the champions of the U-10 Girls Division with a win over MUSA 99 Flyers by a score of 2 to 1.
Nelson Elite Teams competed in the SOKY Kick or Treat Tournament and two are champions.
Several Nelson Elite teams competed in the SOKY Kick or Treat Tournament held the weekend of October 24 and 25.The following teams was champions or finalists in their respective divisions.

Nelson Elite Lasers complete a very successful season
The U-12 girls Nelson Elite Lasers had a very successful fall 2008 season by finishing first in the KSSL U-12 Girls Silver Division with a record of 8-0-1. Also the Lasers were champions in three out of the four tournaments that they play in this fall. They were champions in the following tournaments:
- Kick in the Bluegrass
- Owensboro United Cup
- SOKY Kick or Treat Classic

The Olympic Development Program (ODP) is a national program to identify and develop youth players to represent their State, Region, and country in soccer competitions. ODP teams are formed with each of the 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations and four regions, made up of the best players in the various age groups. At the state association level, pools of players are identified in each eligible age group, brought together as a team to develop their skill through training and compeition. From the state pools and subsequent teams, players are identified for regional and national pools and teams.
