Here are the specifics of the class:
Class Requirements? 16 hours minimum
Who can take the class? Any person 12 years or older can take the class.
What is the class size? 40 students maximum
What are the testing criteria? On the last day there is a one hour review followed by taking a written 100 multiple choice and true and false question test.
What score must I have to pass the test? You need a score of 75% or better to pass the class.
What is the cost? The total cost is $60.00 per person and includes the referee license ($40.00), instructors’ fee, Laws of the Game, Referee Administrative Booklet, note taking supplies, and refreshments.
Why should I become a soccer referee? Participants can benefit by learning the 17 Laws of the Game, earn extra money by refereeing recreation matches as either a referee or assistant referee, and supporting NCYSA obligation to the soccer community of having qualified and certified referee to referee home matches.
